I have upgraded the shift knob which is a very easy to do walk in the park mod. But because I’m mechanically challenged I had to slightly deviate from the instructions before I could even get the suitable tool (Pic2 small screw driver) in place to pry the shift knob release button off. The instruction is in the post, but if anyone is interested in more details or clarification, I will gladly oblige.

Deviation pre-step 1:

I had to turn the ignition key to the first stop (acc) apply the brake and move the shift knob all the way back to the last position. Then I had to jump off the vehicle, close the driver’s side door b\c the key buzzard was driving me nuts, and do everything from the passenger side…Oh well, at least it was quick.

Step1:

Pry off the shift knob release button with suitable tool

Step 2: Find Phillips screw about 1/3 of the way down from opening on top of knob, or use a small mirror to locate and place tool in slot and turn. I’m highly qualified for this part; finding sluts LOL!

Step3:

Remove back cover on shift knob and pry off snap ring at the bottom of cover U just took off.

Step 4:

Push in (GENTLY!) fully assembled new shift knob.
Once more a word of caution for the curios minded…DO NOT disassemble new shit knob, simply slide it in as it comes, fully assembled, in the stud.

Step 5: It’s MILLER TIME!

Cheers!

I would love to have the Mopar pistol grip, but I know I would never hear the end of that!

I don't have a stick shift, so no pistol grip for me. What EC did could happen on mine though.

no red for me. Personal preference but red is for outside of cars, not interior.

I have not been able to get any Oz parts in the US from GM even with a GM part#. Check with HSV-GTS-300(Paul) as he gets all our Holden parts for us....CHEAP!

I got a line on Aussie parts.....We have a customer we ship a container full of superchargers too a few times a year. I might give him a call.

Anyhow, I gotta have that shift knob! I will look sharp with the two tone interior.
