When I turn my turn signals on there is no clicking sound to indicate they are on. The turn signal flashes on the display and the actual turn signals outside of the car work. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Un-mute them by pressing the volume roller on the steering wheel...

Tony ..LMFAO!!!

I never notice a click for the last 3 years I owned my G8. Are you sure they are supposed to make any noise?

Well it always has before. It's the normal sound any car makes when you turn the blinker on so I'm guessing it's supposed to.

In all seriousness, yes, you should get that taken care of. I wish I had a fix for you. Maybe replace the blinker control. From a liability standpoint if you were to leave your blinkers on because you couldn't hear it and you caused an accident you would be on the hook. Not to mention you'd have to live with the reesults the rest of your life. I'm almost totally deaf in my left ear from too much rocknroll from a very capable truck pillar speaker back in the 80's. Because of this I can't hear my blinker in my current truck. That has almost caused several wrecks where I would have been at fault. I have looked far and wide for a solution...even installed the heavy duty blinker box thinking that would be louder. It wasn't. Short of splicing in an in-cabin indicator light I'm buffaloed.Thankfully the G8 blinker is loud enough.

Second solution: Just don't use your blinkers like most of us are famous for here in Texas! Gosh darnit, we sure know to ride in the right hand lane UNLIKE DRIVERS IN ALL STATES BETWEEN HERE AND FLORIDA, but we refuse to use our blinkers. LA, MS, AL, FL: WTF? DO THEY TRAIN YOU TO RIDE IN THE DAMNED LEFT HAND LANE AS PART OF GETTING YOUR LICENSE?

Thanks for your seriousness :P Unfortunately, your second solution isn't an option. I always use my blinker so even though I can still drive my car, this issue is driving me crazy! I have looked all over the internet but no one else seems to have this problem. Actually, there aren't many issues reported with the G8 at all. It is scheduled to go into the shop next week and I will update and let you know what the problem was. And as for your question about driver's in the left hand lane, I don't know what to tell you. The idiots seem to populate KS as well, and it irritates me too! Again, thanks for your help!!

So there is a sound to it ..I just noticed this tonight going to work. I never noticed before ..probably because of the radio on etc.
I would think its the control fuse

You have a bad instrument cluster,The IPC has a mini speaker built in to it for the click clack sound,it is not a mechanical flasher that does this anymore, but a generated click clack frequency requested by the BCM for the IPC to do. Other Gm vehicles will use the left front speaker to do this.If you are within 3 years 36,000 miles it is covered or an extended warranty. Before they go nuts tell them to look at Document ID: 2088615 at the dealer

First of all, I'm not a sir but I'll forgive you this once :bleh: Secondly, thank you for your info!! This is the first time I've heard of the instrument cluster possibly being the cause. Do you happen to know this from experience? I do have an extended warranty so it is all covered, thank goodness. I will definitely pass on your information at the dealer next week!! Thanks so much :D

Lol Mongo! Usually my radio is turned up loud enough that I can't hear it either, but when it's not, I prefer to hear the click clack :)
