Hey guys,
I have had this done for a few weeks now, just getting around to putting this up here for everyone. I am more than aware at the low level of difficulty of this mod. However well know there are people out there with a million questions for some of the easiest tasks. This if for them! Sorry for the dirty engine bay, but I assure you it received a SIMPLE GREEN bath when all the work was done. Yes you will notice the Power Steering Resivor is relocated as well, there will be another write-up for it.

TOOLS REQUIRED

Pinch Off Plier Set (Atleast 2 will be used)
Coolant Hose Hook (Used to help break the seal of the hose to barbed fittings)
Slip Joint Pliers (Used for the OEM Spring Clamps as well as to help "rotationally" grip the hose to assist in breaking the natural seal)
Shears of some form (Used to cut/trim hose for desired fit)

**If done correctly you will hardly spill any coolant (proper use of pinch off pliers, and readily having new hose ready to install)**

Hope this will help some of you on the edge of tackling this procedure. I do not have my Billet Specialties hose spacers (qty 2) here yet that I will install on the hoses 1, up top by the engine and another just down toward the water pump end of the hoses. Secondly once you add your DEX COOL back to the system, test drive it. Rule of thumb I use in the shop is if you have GOOD heat, and non-stop heat (even when sitting at idle) then more than likely you do not have any "air" in the system. Reason being, if there is air that traps in the heater core, then you will have a loss of heat. Regardless just check it the next morning to make sure you don't need to top it off once all the heat/pressure has relieved from the test drive.

The only part of Magnuson left under my hood is the heater hose setup. With the exception of an extra belt & a big shiny thing, our engine compartments look similar :)

Any issues with heat running the hoses that close the the exhaust? Did you reuse the stock hoses?

So i get that you pretty much crimp it so it doesnt spill all over the place,
Then you cut where its close to the block
Then you unplug where the fire wall is
Then you just connect new hoses to firewall
Then connect to block
Tighten
Test/run the car
then you're good to go

Am i missing something? How much coolent loss is normal? I dont get what the last 7 pics are showing/illustrating (sorry...)

Now all you need is some in&out spray from adam's to make the black plastic/rubber shine.

I'm too lazy. I just buy Charlie's kit.

I think I have sold close to 300 sets. All with heat shields and billet separators, the correct size hoses for the waterpump, trimmed to the correct length at waterpump and left long on the heatercore end to fit any covers or engine combos.

As a note I have done headgaskets on a G8 that made his own hoses and forced the wrong size hose on the waterpump and it broke the reinforcement in the hose causing it to fail. He didn't catch it quick enough....
