Hey Charlie my parents have a 04 Mazda 3. They are having some problems with the car. They told me that it turns on and can be driven, but when they have to stop for a red light the engine starts to shake and dies. Any help would be appreciated.

Any check engine light? If not, make sure all the air filter box connections are tight and correct, if thats OK have the throttle body cleaned and that should clear it up.

No check engine light. But I will check it out tomorrow. They spoke to a mechanic they know and he said it could be that the injectors need to be flushed.

Unlikely with the new style injectors. Most cleaning systems now clean the throttle body at the same time though.

Yea I thats what I told my dad. I really dont think its the injectors. I will just throw this in but also they had to change the battery the other day. I dont know if it has something to do with it. Thanks again charlie!

Could it be a throttle position sensor?
