How can you visually tell if the strut mounts/bearings are bad? I was looking under the hood and noticed that they dont sit flush on the frame. Is this normal?

Thanks

Eric

They wont sit flush, the tops that is. Not uncommon to see black marks on strut towers either.

Use PhotoBucket and its pretty easy. Mine were marginal at 3000 miles so odds are they are bad. Get the Pedders bushing/bearing plates and you will be fine.

Is this condition unsafe to be driving around on?

I saw the pics on your Fquick page. Not a safety issue just something you are going to want to address.

Is there a quick measurement we can do to test for collapsed mounts?
