Spark plug still usable?

Hey folks,

Just my luck, I was replacing the 8th and final spark plug and I overtightened it and cracked the plug casing (see pic). Is this plug still usable? The plug itself is still fine just the casing broke...

Yup. Even a small hairline crack in the insulation is enough to make a plug useless.

I figured that would be the case. Thanks for the info, guess I'll be making a trip to my auto parts store tomorrow...

it could arc sideways, IE through the crack.
