I like that I can put something in that wasted space and it says its a direct fit/plug and go. Just wanted some feedback on them if anyone has installed them.

Those are known as "Atari" gauges. Many have installed, I have mine ready for install.
And a heads-up ... there are two flavors of them, simplest way to explain is one flavor comes from down under and set up for down under cars. The other flavor is custom programmed by White Auto Media (WAM) to have a different brightness and VIN matched. Much debate on the topic. In the US, GM embeds or serializes modules in the cars. If a module is installed that does not match, in theory, error codes or problems on the CAN bus can lead to difficult trouble shooting on BCM issue. However, the down under flavor reports they have never seen a issue.
Search this forum and g8board, then make your purchase. Caveat Emptor.
FWIW, I went with a used set and sent to WAM to be reprogrammed or "regreened".

I've had my down under versions for over 2 years with no issues or conflicts with no vin match. Don't get me wrong I'm sure this issue oculd happen, but I've not seen or had one. Do some research on it, and if you get the non-Chris White progammed ones be prepared for a "possible" issue with it.

Yes. I bought my triple ataris (us-spec) back in 2009 and had them vin-matched to my car. No issues, really love them. Then I had them converted to blue. :) Now I love them even more. :)

Bought mine in 2009 out of an 08 wreck and had WAM program. Wrote install addendum posted here and took tons of pictures. Happy with gauges.
