Wow I didn't know they reopened that early. I'll be running the G8 again if I change anything, otherwise I'd be happy to come and support!

George, since you've been to both tracks, (Island Dragway and Atco) how do the two compare? Maybe I'll just go back to ATCO instead of Island next time.

You'll run better times at Atco. It's closer to sea level and the DA is usually low.

How's the wait to get runs in? Longer lines than at Island? Also, is it true you can't avoid the water box cuz odds are, im still gonna be on street tires.

Zero chance to avoid the water. You drive through an opening in a wall to get from the staging lanes to the track. The opening is the size of a garage door. Just after the opening is the water.

The night I went I got 3 runs. I got there well after the start. and I left before the end.

Probably could have gotten 6 or 7 runs if I wanted.

I'm liking the sound of ATCO except for the little water problem....Is there something for us street tire users to do? Also, is there that guy on the mic that announces the the cars that are racing and the winners? Just a little perk I like :)

It's not a deep puddle, just wet. Do a short burn-out and you'll be fine.

3-5? Isn't that a lot? I was thinking 1-2 seconds lol.

3-5 works for me.

3-5 sec burnout isn't much at all. I get the smoke going a little bit without overdoing it and it worked well for me. My car hooked really well last time out.

hmmm...ok then. What-ever works lol. Also, how can I do a burnout without moving? I have done them before, break and gas of coarse and the car always creeps foward as the tires spin.

Hold the brakes down a bit more and you should stay in place. More throttle will help also so they spin easier and don't try to grip. Once you go through the water this will be easy to do and you will hear the tires start to grip and thats when you let the brakes go and roll up to the line.

Let me know if anyone puts together a private test and tune at ATCO. I love that place. That track is always good for a couple of tenths.
