Anyone have experience or have used GMPP Racing Hydraulic Roller Lifter Kit P/N 8895868, instead of the LS7 lifters or any other aftermarket lifters when doing a cam upgrade?

No experience with them. I'm having the Lunati High RPM Hydraulic Roller Lifters installed as we speak. Sorry to hijack the thread, interested to hear others remarks on the GMPP's.

I have heard bad things about the gmpp so called cadillac race lifters. They are a little lighter. But there are tons of posts on other forums with these coming apart and causing havac in the engine. I would stick with the ls7 lifters and save the money.

I went with Lunati Street Performance linkbar lifters, based on my installers recommendation for a linkbar style lifter vs. the LS7 lifters and buckets. I have no input on them, just letting you know what I went with.

The Lunati lifters are a very nice piece but you will need @.100"-.150" shorter pushrod depending on your lifter. Went from a 7.375 to a 7.300 and could go 7.275". AND this is swapping from a LS7 lifter that is already .050 longer already. SO from a standard DoD/non-LS7 lifter, you may need .150" shorter pushrod. The Lunati lifters are a bit heavier. @316 grams a pair VS 247 grams/pair for LS7. Lunati roller is .750" where as a LS lifter is @.690". This doesn't change the lift of the cam but will give it more "area" since the roller contacts and leaves the cam lobe sooner/later. This is probably only a 2-3 degree difference +/- but something to know.
