Are you sure it is stock. Your car is shifting at 6,500 rpm's and if I remember right, been a while, but stock is around 6,100 rpm's.

Nice! Looks like you are driving it to it's potential. Bye bye good gas mileage!

It's a V6. ;) doesn't seem too bad when you know it's the v6 model.

I think its respectable. pretty quick till about 80 and then the lack of V8 power really shows...

The base G8 would have taken great advantage of a six speed auto... it also would have helped if the LLT in Camaro trim (312bhp / 278 tq) were used instead of the LY7.

A Zeta II sedan with the Camaro LFX and a six speed auto would be one hell of a rental car. Usable power and ridiculously good gas mileage in a full size sedan, sign me up.

Guys... it was V6 car... as V6 4 door cars go, its not THAT bad!

That being said.. my 09 G8 GT is definitely faster LOL Just because someone owns a V6 car doesnt mean they havent experienced V8 power, or in some way thinks they are ready to race... Ive had vehicles with everything from Turbo LS motors to Viper V10s... The point wasnt to show how "fast", but rather just have some fun with it.

I noticed the converter flashed up past 2K before seeing any MPH so that had me wondering about things as well. The V6 moves out pretty well...

The V6 has the higher shift points compared to the V8's.I went from a V6 to a GXP, but I really miss those high shift points on the V6.The 6 really is a fun car to drive, especially when you got a nice exhaust tone.I wouldn't knock it if you've never owned it.

I just watched this. I thought it was a pretty good run. There was a slight pause in 1st gear around 3500 rpm. I wonder what that was. Good power above 4000 rpm.
