Well, I recieved my mufflers last week and got them put on today so Tigger is ready to go up to Livernois for his check-up. I took it out for a drive, and am pretty happy with the sound. The twang is gone.:woohoo: As for the sound inside the car....Nothing I wouldn't expect out of a 400+HP car with headers. Sounds like an old school big block. No more stealth mode for me, but I'm cool with that. :prostock:

I was pretty impressed with the Kooks sound as well. The start up sound was pretty cool, but when reved, it sounded reaaaalllly nice. Sweet ride!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order the Gen II? Do the retailers selling these know if they are shipping the first version or Gen IIs?

I actually had one of the very first sets from Kooks of the Gen I, which gave me fits. This was Kooks going well out of there way to make it right with me. You can contact Livernois I believe, or Maryland Speed stress you want the II's and you should be good. I can't guarantee you'll duplicate the sound w/out a cam, but might be worth a shot. good luck!

We're in the process of taking care of that. Won't be as aggressive as yours, but will work well with my MagnaCharger setup.

Not the complete Kooks set-up here. I've just got the Kooks Gen II axlebacks, the rest is all American Racing Headers.

My kooks 1 7/8'' lt's, 3 inch catted x, and gen II axleback showed up yesterday. I'm excited! Doing the powerbond 25% underdrive while we are under there. Do you happen to remember what part number yours was? I stressed over and over that I wanted the Gen II , so i am sure that it is because they got it directly from kooks about a week ago.

Where did all of the corn go?!?! j/k. Your car sounds good. Sounds like traction is a major issue with second gear now. Your setup doesn't seem too loud at all. How does it sound in person compared to the video?

I actually love it now. My buddy that did my paint work was standing outside of his shop when I pulled up and said it sounded awesome as I came down the road. Traction? What's that? Lol! I have to be careful mashing the pedal at highway speeds even, as Tigger will break loose. :) Keeps it exciting that way.
