So I've been looking for a new clutch for a while now. My stock unit gave up at 530whp while tuning on the dyno.
I originally planned on getting the Katech twin disk "R" version but then decided against it. I looked for a minute at a Spec twin but after talking to a few of my forced induction V8 buddies that have/had them...they all hated them. I talked to Thomas at Hendrix, super nice guy, but he didn't have anything for the GXP, however, he could make one if I sent him my stock unit. The only problem was the downtime.
I heard that McLeod started making a unit for the GXP from a member on the other board. He was having it installed by Livernois along with some other goodies. He kept me informed on his project and impression of the McLeod (RXT). After hearing this users good reviews and driving my friends C6 Z06 with the RXT I decided it was the clutch for me.

Fast forward to a 2 weeks ago. I ordered the twin disk RXT with a steel flywheel which was recommended by McLeod. I ordered the clutch on a Thursday. I had it 6 days later. I picked the clutch up Wednesday and took the car to a local shop here in Houston. Friday afternoon the car was done. They installed the RXT, a new slave cyl and rear main seal. I wasn't able to pick the car up until today, Monday.
I paid my bill and took the car for a spin. First impression, light pedal...pleasantly surprised. Second thing I noticed, almost zero chatter. The pedal felt good, the engagement is nice and smooth without chatter. After 40miles I honestly have to say I'm loving this clutch.
I will be putting some more break in miles on the car and reinstalling the twins in the next week or so. I can't wait to throw about 650whp at it to see how it likes boost.
Just thought I'd share. I'll update when i have more miles and more power.
