Went out to a local meet last night and got a couple runs. First run was a Whipple Lightning vs a buddies cam/n2o SRt8 jeep and I grabbed the 3rd lane. I couldn't hear the honks so I just waited until I heard the blower come alive and I smashed on it. We started around a 40 roll...Car shifted into 3rd and I was over a car out on the Lightning and pulling slowly. Lightning made 600+hp/700tq

Next up was a newer model Bullitt Mustang. He rolled up side of me and geared down. Car sounded like it had a pretty deep gear, exhaust at least. As soon as he honked I yanked his ass hard. I ran it one full gear and had a small football field on him and let out. Wish I had a passenger though since no videos.

heres a short video the run with the whipple lightning is a bout 2:15. Camera car is a fully built F-body with a 400+ci motor with a 4L60E holding on for dear life.

OEM (ported blower, 75 shot) vs Dope Fiend (XP custom grind, 150 shot n2o)

XPSRT8 (cam/n2o) vs Whipple Lightning vs XP G8 (LTs,n20,tune)

pacesetter coated LTs, GXP mid, Kooks Axle backs, vararam and a little DA helper with a tune by Clear Lake Speed.

The Lightning only ran 11.4@119mph

Yeah my buddy (my tuner) and I have been talking about putting together a whipple kit. I would go Whipple all day long over a Magnacharger. The whipple is just music to my ears!

Someone started on a kenne bell on the other forum but the project never finished, I really wish someone would make a kit for us...I dont know how time is gonna treat us, sometimes more enthusiasts pop up when the car gets cheaper so the vendors step up and sometimes the car gets forgotten and it comes to a dead stop.

Or maybe Yella Terra needs to realize their prices are a tad high for the enthusiast to swallow.

I know the freight would be killer...hard to get a group buy going since theres not much data/people running them to form an opinion on.

How big of a shot are you running to keep up with that lightning?

That vid was shot like 10 mins from my house. I need to come out there! haha. What nights does this usually happen on?

a 75rwhp shot. Its nothing big....wife ran the car at the track and ran 12.4 @ 118-119mph on stock potenzas

also its on Saturday nights but we don't go out there often. It was a pretty small meet on this night. We normally hang out on the Southside which is where we are all from.

I am not sure but I believe it was just negative but not more than -800 or so. Plan is to put a tire on the car for a run or two and see if she can't get into the 11s as she should. She didn't hit the DA helper until mid top of 2nd gear. 60ft was a 2.06 on the run

Just don't think the whipple or KB will work on our cars. Cowl and hood clearence issues. I wish the KB would work, I'd do one.

How about Harrop instead of whipple?
