Hey guys, hope all had a good and safe Holiday.

We here at VR ,however, never stopped testing new components on the new G8 ram air system during the holiday break.

We have been pleased with the test results and the installation itself.

We took extra time & worked out alot of "little things" to make the installation fast and seamless (no chopping, no drilling ,no hassles etc...)

( I am sure most of you will see the finale pre-production pictures here soon. The system has had some tweaks since the last images we leaked out, baised on airflow measured on the car and the scoop / airfilter design combination itself.)
We also tweaked the kit for 850HP vs original 700HP ,for the customers future LS engine development.

We are scheduled to go to full production tooling by late next week and Green airfilter has confirmed our filter production date of the 21st of this month, so at this point we are still set for a late Jan release.

We are looking forward to this exciting new product and the opportunity to work with a new group of GM performance enthusiasts.

Best Regards VR tech

Quite true, a Supercharged Series II 3.8L is a lot different than a 6.0L V8. :)

Interesting - we have been told on the GTO boards that the GTO version will be out in a week or so (waiting on filters).

Lets see - I need 2 GTO versions & 1 G8 - I should qualify as a group discount all by myself.

Sounds like all of our Holdens may finally have a real CAI system - can't wait.

I would hate to have your parts bill. Everything you do is in 3s!

I wonder if they are going to sell these to our Aussie friends.

Ha!

The worst part is when the Amex bill arrives and the wife gets to it before me :spank:

At least with the GTO's - the kid can enjoy some hand me downs from my car - but not enough unfortunately. Plus, we know what works and doesen't for the most part since I have had my car since Dec 04 - saves a bit on experimentation.

LMAO!!! You might need a 12 step program!

So these things pull harder as you go faster?

So these things pull harder as you go faster?

With more air being forced into the engine, it should :D

I'm picturing Russo's OTR with a funnel shaped opening that fits behind one or both of the egg crate openings, I can't wait to see one in person!

I do have a twelve step program. I hope to be on my way to recovery soon. Vararam is my step 1, however.

She picks her battles now. I usually just get a roll of the eyes unless I overdo it. Our definitions for that word differ slightly.
