Wanted to see if anyone has any insight on converting our G8 shifter to the Aussie one like in the Calais (see pic). It would be nice if the shifter moved to the left to put it in manual mode rather than how it currently is. Plus the you could pull the shifter back to upshift and forward to downshift. I figured if we could replace the shifter assembly (#1) and the shift indicator (#16) this could work. Maybe Crazy Paul could chime in with some part numbers, prices and insight.1341113412

This has been discussed on here several times now.
The Pontiac G8 MYC shifter has a couple extra items (20&21),not there on the Holden shifters. I do not know if your Pontiac would perform properly (computer might chuck a sad) with a missing shift lock solenoid and release.

Do you happen to know what the cost for the shifter assembly and shiftor indicator are? Contemplating giving it a try.
