Well, I am not really sure what I'm doing with my G8, but for right now the need to free up some garage space has become a higher priority. So, here goes. I will not take any payments for things that are not immediately available but will post up here when they are. All items are located in Portage, Indiana and are available for pickup (except Kooks for now).

The Kooks mids were purchased from bradshow earlier this year and the cats are hollowed out. These are still on the car but should be off by the end of the year. $400 plus shipping.

Livernois CNC valvejob L92 heads with Livernois .690" dual springs and titanium retainers. These were purchased from edmanet earlier this year and are ready to go. They were never even removed from the box Roy sent them in. $SOLD!$ **Almost forgot... these are milled to produce 10.9:1 on the stock .051" gasket.**

Solo HFCs. I purchased these from a guy on the board (forgot his screen name) in Detroit earlier this year, and they have around 4k miles on them, never installed them since purchase. I sandblasted them with aluminum bead so they look darn near brand new. $SOLD!$

VMS PowerCal. Purchased from Daniel Hartigan earlier this year. Still needs to be unlocked, verified working but never locked to my VIN. $SOLD!$

Edit: LOTS more available throughout this thread! Read through for pics!!

Email is cgs607 AT gmail dot com. Feel free to ask any questions! Thanks.

There has been a lot of interest in the heads, so as to provide a fair shot at them, I will take a 10% deposit now until I can get the pics up Saturday if you know you just REALLY have to get Roy's heads. If, upon posting pics, you decide you don't still want them, I will refund the deposit and open everything back up. If you decide you do want them, cgs607 at gmail dot com is my Paypal address- post in this thread that you have sent a payment, and I will post back that I have received it. By noon CST Saturday pics will be posted. Heads will ship out Monday, 12/19 if paid for, or as soon as they are. Thanks.

about that with 434hp. The heads work GRRRR8. The only reason I pulled them was
because I got a really good deal on a set of heads ported by Greg Good.

I've already answered some pms for you concerning the heads.

Fantastic. Like I told several people, what is going on with the car is up in the air, and I don't see any point in "wasting" the heads if I get rid of the car. I'd like to pass on a proven set of heads at a decent deal if possible.

BTW, if anyone is interested, I got a quote from Total Engine Airflow to do their CNC stage I or II exhaust only porting to the heads for $250. If you're interested, I could strip the heads, mark the pieces, and mail them to you and the heads to TEA, or I could get you a quote for TEA to strip, port, and reassemble the heads. FWIW, TEA said if their porting ran into Livernois's valvejob, they would recut it at no additional charge. Livernois wants $550 for a total port job or exhaust only (same price). I don't know about 510 Engineeering's prices.

No problem! I am going to talk to Andy at livernois tomorrow to confirm that the milling amount was indeed .028" like Roy thinks to make sure I will still be ok on PTV which I am confident I will be. May need to chat with you tomorrow About the exhaust part if you could pm or email me your phone #?

Yep... will send in a little. I think 10.9:1 is .025" off, GT-4-Speed (Rick) oughtta know, he seems to be grinding on our heads nearly every day. He might be another option...

DavesG8GT
12-15-2011, 05:02 PM
Yep in fact I have already been talking to Rick before I even saw yours for sale. Was thinking of letting him do mine. I know he will do the exhaust only for $250 as well. I am thinking I may want to just use him and maybe just let you send them to him bare and send me all the parts from them.

And if I remember correctly I put the shorter pushrods [7.375] in the boxes with the heads.
So whoever buys the heads the pushrods should be in one of the boxes.

Out of curiousity would those heads be a big gain on something like my car, or as I suspect, a cam and gears are needed to make the them worth while. Besides I guess the compression added hp. I thought our heads were suppose to be so good anyway. I know I have minimal mods, but still I feel there is plenty left in the stock heads at my stage. When I was younger we did intakes, headers, heads and gears and we were king of the road. ha ha

The heads are very good, when compared to Gen 1-3 SBC heads. However, just like factory Ford heads, the exhaust port is relatively sucky. With the intake port being so big cc wise, on a 364 cube motor you are not going to help power, and likely will hurt it. Exhaust porting, however, you might see around a 20HP increase, and if you plan it right, your cam will have better driveability and low/midrange torque and power by reducing the split between intake and exhaust duration.

Patrick G (:worthy: LOL) and Kurt have proven on here many times that porting the intake side is a no-no. Save some money and only port the exhaust unless you are doing a stroker kit over 400 cubes.

I would leave the heads assembled, easier to package and if a valve job has been done, you can check valve spring installed heights. You would need the valves to flow the heads unless you can be confident that the valve job work well with the port work being done. It is always good to know before and after flow numbers. Some castings flow better than others that is one reason why you see different stock flowing numbers from one place to the next. Plus to verify compression, it is best to cc the chamber. Valve jobs can eat compression if they lowered the seats any on either valve.

Hey I just realized, I figure I can part with two more things:

Image Dynamics IDMAX 12" V3 D2, CHROME basket! This thing was $449 new, and those of you that know ID know this is one bad sumbitch! I had mounted it in a sealed box but never got around to installing it. Has basically been just taking up space, essentially brand new, magnet sticker might be the only thing that doesn't look brand new. $300 shipped.

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab205/laserred77/IDMAX001.jpg

Rockford Fosgate P500-2 amplifier. Has a birth sheet that shows 747W actual power into 4 ohms bridged... or 374Wx2. Brand new in plastic, ready to go! Was saving this for the IDMAX.... but maintenance on my Forester has taken some more money than I thought. As you can see by the date tag, these have been tucked away in the garage nice and safe for a while... $225 shipped.

OK! Solo HFC Cat pics below, Techline TLTD (~1/2 qt), Techline TLLB (~1/2 qt), TURNKEY Brembo rear brake kit, ARP stainless 12pt header bolts, unused ARP 4.125" piston ring compressor! Now that pics are posted, it's free-for-all, first pay first serve! Enjoy!

Solo HFC Cats. $400 shipped, $375 picked up. No extenders, never got them.

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab205/laserred77/Livernois%20L92/Documets028.jpg

TURNKEY rear Brembo brake kit! Used SS Calipers, pads, and rotors, and a never-used, already Rust-oleum'd set of RealSquash's caliper relocation kit! $300 shipped, firm. Calipers are a little dinged up from shipping when I got them, but if you are painting to match or powdercoating, this is perfect! Rotors do not have heavy grooves or damage and should be fine without turning. WYSIWYG... nothing more, nothing less.

Techline Coatings TLTD ceramic heat dispersant. This stuff (if you could buy it retail) runs around $100 plus HAZMAT shipping. Roughly 1/2 qt left, enough to do LOTS of parts. $50 shipped. Here's Techline's blurb:
TLTD THERMAL DISPERSANT

Rapidly disperses heat away from a coated component.
More evenly distributes heat over a coated surface.
Aids in cooling heat sensitive parts.
Excellent for intake manifolds, brake components, oil pans etc.
Very good chemical and corrosion resistance.
Black in color.
Cosmetically appealing.
Requires baking. Cures at 300°F minimum. Must be oven baked.
http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab205/laserred77/Livernois%20L92/Documets036.jpg

Techline Coatings TLLB Ceramic thermal barrier. Same as TLTD, runs around $100/qt, and again, roughly 1/2 qt left. This is great for lifter valleys, connecting rods, etc. $50 shipped.
TLLB LUBRICATED THERMAL BARRIER

Oil shedding thermal barrier.
Designed for the bottom of intake manifolds.
Use on windage trays, crank scrapers, connecting rods etc….
Requires baking. Cures at 300°F minimum. Must be oven baked.
http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab205/laserred77/Livernois%20L92/Documets035.jpg

ARP stainless 12pt header bolts. Fits SBC, BBC, and SBF. $30 shipped.
