Question:
I've got about just under 39,000 miles on the car (2008 6.0 GT), and want to change out the differential fluid.
I am just going to use the reccomended GM differential fluid.
What is the name of it & where can I buy it? If someone could reply with a link..... Like from Greg's or other forum sponsor, that would be cool.... :)
Thanks in advance! :)
P.S. - Still kickin' it here in the UK.... Think I'm heading into the Cardiff City Centre today...... Wales has a home friendly rugby match with Austrialia at the Millenium Stadium...... Gonna get my pint on today! ; P

I've been using Redline 75W85 GL5 with the GM LS Friction Modifier in mine since I put the in the 3.70. It's been working great.

I used the GM gear oil when I did mine, however I noticed something very strange. The GM stuff has an expiration date.

I do not want to use the GM stuff, too expensive, i have Pep boys advance auto walmart around me. I saw several brands all synthetic, some said no need for additive(Lucas) others said had additive in it, others said must add additive which was 10 bucks. what specific code are we trying to get is it the GL5? Most were 75-130 0r 85-140. GM is like 75-85? I am confused.....help please

You really should use the GM oil for the stock 2.92's. The Camaro 3.27's or 3.45's have lots of applicable fluids you can use.

What is the difference with the 2.92? I dont want to pay 3 times as much if I really dont have to. I did find some locally that has the limited slip additive in it, it is synthetic, and says use in all limited slip diffs.

Our diff has the carbon fiber clutches while the Camaro diffs do not. Thats why it's best to use what GM recommends.
