DB651 vs DB651S vs Component Set Also looking for a decent 4 channel amp.

I am planning to upgrade the speakers in my 02 Avalanche.

I am going with the DB651.

My question is:

Will the standard DB651 fit ok? I see the DB651S that a few have also.

Basically I plan on selling the truck in the spring and would just take the speakers back out and pop them in the G8 [if i don't trade it in for a ZL1 in the spring, very tempting]

They are currently buy one set get one set 50% off...

I am also looking for a decent 4 channel amplifier...

I'm considering just tossing in a bass link since its quick and portable.

In regards to the component sets: My truck has factory component speakers up front. I've considered a Polk replacement set...but then would have to move them to the G8. Anyone install components and replace their front tweeters etc?

I bought a pair of DB651s and 691 6x9 for my cobalt at the same deal your talking about. The db651 should fit, I put 6.5 infinitys in my Silverado front doors with no problems, but if you are not sure get the 651s they sound really good. In fact they sound so good I'm getting 4 more for the GXP.
