I sent an email telling them that no one has a 19" drag radial and it seems like there are more cars these days coming out with 19" rims and they could get a good head start and/or corner the market on 19" drag radials. Here is the reply that I got.

I highlighted the contradicting parts.

Try Nitto, much more likely I think since they just released a 20.

.........companies are never willing to try anything in advance.......

Nitto has had 20s out for 4 years or so. I had them on my Lightning. Expensive as hell though.

A 19 inch Nitto DR would be awesome. Especially a little wider with same diameter.

you could take a 13.2 car, and run 12.8s......or a convertered 12.7 car, and run 12.2s!

Nitto, hear our plees..............

I emailed Koshi (a R&D friend of mine who works for Nitto) and he said they have been looking at a 19" drag radial for some time BUT at the moment it isn't feasible. He showed some market research , and although we have a need for them, overall the market has little to no demand for a 19", especially as small as we need them. The other vehicles that utilize the 19 can fit wider tires than the 245-255, but more often than not upgrade to 20 or drop down to 17-18 for drag usage. Finally, due to the small market of 19's, and the re-tooling necessary for production, the price would be much higher then the corresponding 18's and 20's (and we all know there are already enough people who complain about 19's being more expensive than 20's despite the knowledge there are 10 times the amount of 20's produced).
