We are going to the ground breaking of the new dragstrip in New Florence, MO. It going to be a new NHRA track about 45 miles east of Columbia, Mo and it due to open in 2012. The ground breaking is October 22, 2011. Here is the link, we are meeting at about 900am on that Saturday at the Centralia exit on I-70.

Dang... would like to attend, but it's a heck of a haul from Arnold... Maybe.

I really hope it happens...2 tracks in the area of STL would be nice next year.

They are supposed to have the concrete powered pretty soon, all concrete. I'm heading out to find as much as I can and if you don't make I'll post the info Saturday when I get home. Its supposed to open in the spring. Just 70 miles from my house.

Any word on how far along they are or when it will be opening? I live probably 30 minutes from there and no one knows.
