Gimmick wires. Get the MSD ones. Best bang for the buck and fit and adjustability is excellent.

I went with MSD.

Aftermarket wires aren't really required on LSx and other coil near plug ignitions, unless you break a factory one, the factory ones are plenty sufficient.

That being said, just get the MSD ones.

Vipz28 is really correct. I can't see any difference.

The factory wires are fine. If one gets damaged or worn, then get MSDs because they are less expensive.

We ran factory wires on the BeaSSt until someone gave us a set of MSD's just to match the rest of the red under the hood :zing:

What will the MSD wires do that the stock ones will not (besides being the better color, haha)? Is there a performance improvement?

Just a bit prettier. I couldn't really tell a difference. I changed mine troubleshooting a miss.

The clips on the MSD wires are a little more robust. They take more abuse (attaching/removing). IIRC The wire size thicker (more insulation), which would help if you were to go with higher voltage coils. They also look cooler! Thats about it. If you don't need new wires, I would spend money elsewhere.

No, the stock wires are plenty.

I installed them on my car simply because I've seen them on a lot of modified cars, plus they look cooler and charlie has them on his G8...if they're good for his car, mine can have them also

LOL! Mine are actually the stock ones, but if you clean them really good they look just like MSDs. :)
