HELP!! Starter Cable Fried!!

So the cable was touching the long tubes, and the cable caught on fire
car was towed home and is currently stuck in park with the keys in the ignition, and the tachometer is stuck at 2100 (when the car died)

what needs to be replaced? the positive harness for sure.. but what else?

Start with that, hope the rest is ok. Battery maybe, alternator maybe, ECM maybe even. Fix the cable first and let's see what happens.

This happened to my 01Z. Replaced the positive cable, and had to get a new battery as well. Fired right up - understand that there is also no BCM or TCM in the Camaro - could be different. Good luck.

i got this part number, 92216221, now is this the wiring harness i need?

No that is not the correct number. That is for the number from the battery to the front of the car.
You are looking for the cable from the starter to the engine bay correct?
Do you have an '09 or '09.5?
They have different cables

battery was dead.. left it on charge for about 30min, car display and everything starts fine lets hope that starter cable starts her up!

so i got a new cable, installed it, car clicks but doesnt turn over, tried to jump it and same thing happened..

There is also a ground strap to the engine - when I forgot to reattach it on my cam swap I got the same symptoms as you have.

I know it doesn't make any sense based upon your failure, but it is right on the front of the passenger head, so it's easy to check.
