The Pontiac G8 Owners manual suggests Cabin Filters be renewed at 12 monthly intervals. Results will depend on where your car gets driven. (I haven't heard of anybody yet being surprised by how clean their old filter was).

Bleed air is taken from the compressor stages of an engine. It is used for anti-icing systems and cabin pressurization. The air is routed through ducts and valves to send it through heat exchangers, the A/C turbine, and leading edges of flight surfaces, if equipped. There is also an outflow valve that helps keep the pressure in the aircraft stable.

I've maxed out the height and width and gone 1" under max length allowable.

I got a box a few days ago so i was told i'm thinking its the filters i'll check and conf. as soon as i get home nov. 1st :)

Has anyone else had trouble getting their new filter to fit in the recessed slot? I read on another board that the new filters are about 1/8" taller than the old ones. I was able to compress it to get it to fit, but it causes one side to buckle, exposing a gap. I didn't think that they could be different sizes and threw away my old filter before I could compare them.

I've personally measured about 100 of the new stock coming thru and they are all the same (taller) height.
So far there's been 2 cars that the filters won't fit, I don't know why it's just them, out of about 300 filters sent out.
