I know he can get the oil pan skid plate cause I've got one on my car from him.

Yes I can get the parts, we've already done the oil pan protector plate.

Freight to USA will probably cost more than the parts themselves. Anything over 105cm in length has to go DHL/Fedex etc and they don't charge on weight for light items.
I'll get the bits together into a pile and work out the damage in the next few days.

Makes me wonder now if some of the movement I feel at 65-70+ mph at cruising or above is actually turbulence from under the car.
Is that possible?
I would think it could be considering that most higher-end sports cars come with some sort of underbody aero panels. Are they doing that for the rare 200 mph blast or even just for the daily highway commute?
Helps for gas mileage too???
PAUL: are they plastic?

Looks good. Wonder if an enterprising individual might make something like this with some ABS sheet and some fasteners.

PAUL: are they plastic?
The oil pan protector and the 4 underfloor plates are all made from Poly Proplylene.
PP-GM-30
(Same material as the front and rear fascias...impact resistant).
The basic material is about 3mm thick but there's ribs, webs, pad stiffeners for fasteners, longitudinal channels, all molded in to give it strength where needed. None of the bits flop around when you pick them up.
It's A G8!

I guess this wouldn't work for those that have the sub frame connectors.

The oil pan plate is pretty stiff do to the way the ribs/channels are molded into it. I'm happy with it and unless you plan on jumpy a few rivers to get away from the local law, it will protect the oil pan and the filter.

Oil pan protector is currently US$215 shipped by Airfreight.
Or 2 together shipped to the same address by Airfreight for US$350.
** You'd be best purchasing the mounting fasteners there in USA where they are much cheaper.
For each protector plate you need 6x GM#11519388 bolts.
(M8x1.25 thread x 25mm long)
Oilpan Protector Plate.
Accessory for Series 1 (law enforcement option) & standard on Series 2.

Had a look under a 2010 VE Series 1 today and tried fitting the Series 2 Aero panels to it.
Long Front Panels
On the underneath surface of both the long front panels are 2 x small metal wedge shaped clips which align to slots which exist under the car. (Marked on the pic below as "clip").
Forward and Aft of the metal clips is a line of 3 holes which align with small (approx 6mm square) holes which exist under the car.
At the very front is another (approx 6mm square) hole which exists under the car.
At the rear outer position is another (approx 6mm square) hole which exists under the car.
These square holes in the car underbody would take some kind of push-in retainer or maybe a threaded nut-sert which is yet to be identified.
There are no square holes to accept retainers down the long outer sill line of the car.
There is no threaded hole under the car to accept a bolt for the inner rear position of the front panel.
(This position is close to the rust proofing or drain plug under the floorpan of the car).
Summary:
On each long front panel:
Two metal wedge clips will align.
Five of Nine retainers will align with square holes under the car.
There is no threaded hole under the car to align with the bolt hole in the panel.
***The existing holes are not sufficient to properly attach the Series 2 panels to a Series 1 car.
Short Rounded Rear Panels
Along the front edge the outer hole overlaps the front panel and shares an existing square hole under the car.
Under the front edge in the centre are two metal threaded nut-serts which when overlapped with front panels take threaded fasteners pinning the front and rear panels together.
The inner rear corner hole lines up with nothing under the car.
In the centre of each rear panel are two holes designed to accept threaded fasteners.....directly under both these holes is the base of the Series1 fuel tank. There are no attachment points under the fuel tank.
Series1 and Series2 fuel tanks are different.
Summary:
On each rounded rear panel:
Two metal nut-serts will align which allow front and rear panels to be tied together.
One of Two outer retainers will align with square holes under the car.
There are no threaded holes under the fuel tank to align with the 2 bolt holes in each of the panels.
***The existing holes are not sufficient to properly attach the Series 2 panels to a Series 1 car.
Green dots indicate existing mounting points which will align.

That depends on if there is any issue with Kooks LT headers installed. Don't want to be melting the protector.

See the 4 bolts on the Series2 rear pieces, they do not line up with the fueltank straps....all 4 are inboard of the straps.
On Series1 fueltank inboard of the straps is nothing but the flat bottom of the plastic fueltank. ie No holes or mounting bosses.
Also just to the rear of the trans-tunnel cross brace on that yellow section there are no holes for the 2 bolts required to mount the long front sections.

Same guy has a Group buy as well, although I would rather buy from CP. Seems like you have to drill or use self tapping screws, to make new holes. Then fabricate some brackets to mount to the fuel tank brackets.

24 to 26 new holes to attach them as per "the guy over there" is what keeps me from the purchase. I'm unsure of the corrosion resistance of these cars and just don't want to give rust a chance to start.

Just buy the DIY kit offered elsewhere. I can't find the OEM fasteners or enough info to do the job as per factory. People are already bitching about the price of the kit offered elsewhere and they get way better freight prices than me. I've already said the freight costs more than the parts.

92261820 is still valid here, it comes up as a 2011.5 (Mid-year revision) part.
9245wxyz fits into the scheme of being a 2014 VF part.
[I'll find out tomorrow if 92456818 is backwards compatible or not].

p/n 92244403 is the initial part number used for VE series 2 up to 09/May/2011
p/n 92261820 was from 09/May/2011 onwards but now both have been replaced with p/n 92456818.

VE Series 2 tank straps are Part Number 92250928.
They're cheaper to buy in USA than in AU.
2011+ WM Chevrolet Caprice PPV should have these 92250928 tank straps.
VE Sedan and WM Sedan (in equivalent years) both use the same tank straps.
There's a guy on another Forum who says his 2011 Caprice in USA has the brackets for mounting aero panels on his tank straps.

Now the question is why are the 92250928 and 92420237 straps different?
Rear left and right Chevrolet SS deflectors are on order and should be here by Monday

I've had my oil pan plate for bout 3 years plus, and it's been removed and installed every oil change, and I only tighten the bolts about as much as I do for the oil pan drain plug. Never had any issues with loosing of the bolts.
