Hey Charlie,
I have a '02 Buick Rendezvous that is the family truckster. About a year ago, blower speed 5 started working intermitently, then it quit all together. Now recently blower speed 2 has ceased to function. Any idea whether this is a switch or blower issue? I can take care of either, just hate to do it trial and error.
Thanx,
Kevin

blower resistor board... mine was replaced twice under warranty... water probably got to it and corroded the board a little... pretty common on that car.

hmm, Charlie correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is behind the glovebox on a rendezvous... Luckily mine was covered under warranty so I didn't have to mess with it...
GM usually packages the resistor board right with the blower motor itself. usually bolted to the same housing.

Charlie and Andy,
Two thumbs up. We finally got a warm day that I had some free time (and since GM can't seem to ship my G8 GXP, I don't have it to fawn over yet) and I installed the blower resistor that you suggested. I now have all five blower speeds. Only had one issue, getting to the back screw on the blower motor. Between being a larger man with, ahem, larger hands, and not having a universal joint for my 1/4"" ratchet it was a challenge, but I persevered and got it out, then back in.
Thanx for the info!
Kevin :woohoo:
