Hey guys, been a while I know. Had some changes a while back that increased my workload quite a bit and have been way too busy to post as frequently as I used to. Trust me, I miss being on here on a daily basis.
On to the question, do you guys know of any good shops that do brake jobs in the Miami or Broward area? Something above the regular barely competent average Tire Kingdom, Jiffy Lube, Midas type places? Speed shops, or even regular shops/mechanics if they're good? It would be a plus if they do suspension jobs as well, as I'll be doing quite a few suspension upgrades (likely Pedders, with some other stuff included) on my car and it would be ideal if I could start getting to know the shop that can do them beforehand.
If you're curious, since anyone that remembers me would know that I tend to do my own work, I had yet another caliper get stuck on me, and realized it last week when I started to hear some odd crunching type noises coming from my passenger front wheel. Sure enough, when I took a close look, I realized the outer pad was way down and it had eaten up the rotor enough that the rotor surface is now flush with the hub area. Thankfully, unlike the last time it happened on my passenger rear brake on the stock pads and rotor, these DBA 4000 rotors are really showing their quality, as even though the rotor's been ground down pretty well, it seems they have a good zinc content in them enough so that there's no rusting rotor dust like last time's nightmare. Just having saved me from the massive amount of clay bar work it required to get all that rusting iron dust off my paint last time has made these DBAs worth their hefty weight in gold to me...
Anyways, I'm gonna stay off driving the car until I get this fixed so it's a bit time sensitive. I want to have someone who knows what they're doing take a look at my calipers and rebuild them if necessary, and since it'll have to be done in the middle of a busy week I'll have them do the swap this time; new rotor and pads are already on the way from Tire Rack.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
