Door Lock Question

When I lock my doors with remote I see on the cluster it flashes the car with a lock then stays on and everything inside is lit up like its turned on in remote start. I've never seen this before when I lock the doors it's usually all blacked out. Is this normal or have I never really paid attention to seeing this. I just come home get out of car and hit the remote twice for it to honk and everything goes black but tonite I noticed the car w/ lock stayed on showing all lights on dash lit up after being locked.:uhm:

Sounds suspicious to me... I always get the car and lock
