NZ G8 and SS-V Wagon

Hey Guys,
I have recently taken ownership of a low km 2010 SS-V Special Edition (G8) and own a 2009 SS-V Sportwagon (wife's car).
Though I'd post some pics. The G8 has Pedders Suspension, SS induction cold air box, Pacemaker Headers and a Rage Exhaust. I'm looking to find some Pontiac centre caps to fit into the HSV GTS wheels. Liked the look of the concept G8.
The Sportwagon has King Spring suspension and 22" DTM Flare wheels. Excuse the photos. I need to get some pro shoots done.

Yeah I've got a set of VE GTS rims here and a set of G8 GXP centre caps, I'll see if they fit together tomorrow and report back.

NICE cars. It's good to see the G8 survives Down Under, even if there's so far no chance we'll see something like it here again, which is a real shame.

VE GTS OD is 63mm, G8 GXP OD is 60mm.

It's the other side of the cap which is of more concern....the barbs/tangs diameter has to fit into the hub bore of the wheel snugly.

I know the HSV centre caps are a very tight fit going into G8 GXP hub bores.
With you wanting to go the opposite way, it stands to reason that G8 GXP centre caps will be a loose internal fit into VE HSV wheel hub bores. OD difference of 3mm isn't the main concern.

Yeah I tried it out....it's a dismal failure.
The G8 GXP cap doesn't even touch the hub bore of the GTS rim.
It's like a hotdog in a hallway situation.

The Pontiac caps into GTS hub bore is hopeless.....like a dick in a shirtsleeve. They dont touch the sides bro.

I've got this other style of Pontiac wheelcap here. The centre disc is 60mm dia.

I could remove the Pontiac logo discs and trim the back surface off flat like this.

Then you could part your existing HSV caps, they're only glued together.

Is the emblem itself the same diameter as the GXP? That looks like a good option to me bro! Can you let me know what they are worth with postage to NZ?

The GXP single piece insert type cap has a bevelled chrome ring around the outside a couple mm wide.

The Plan B ...."5 claw" type push on cap has a thinner chrome ring and the red arrowhead is about 3mm taller.

Plan B is going to be easiest for me to take apart to just give you 60mm dia flat Pontiac logo discs.

If you really really wanted to it would be possible to cut the legs off the GXP insert type cap and trim it back to being just a 60mm disc also. Bit of time required to do that task neatly.
