VMR 701 is pretty close 12235 12236 Oh yeah, the wheels on the Supercars are 17" x 10" on all 4 corners. Just remembered Advan makes one also http://advanwheels.com.au/ but they're $800 or so each. I just searched for Advan wheels There are U.S. distributors. I actually had some on my Lexus IS350 they were $600 each 4 years ago.

Well, that answers my question about whether PWR is a decent manufacturer of aftermarket radiators for Holdens. I got to see some of the practice runs when I was in Townesville a couple months ago. Awesome cars. I ventured back into the paddocks, spent some time with the Bundeburg girls, it was a great day! I wasn't able to stay for the actual races although that would have been great as the entire weekend was basically a huge party at the track. I look forward to seeing them in TX next year.

Two things that surprise me.
1. Those injectors are spraying the fuel straight into the velocity stacks! I didn't even know you could do that. Then again, I guess it's more or less akin to what our engines do, except at the tops of the intake "runners" instead of at the base.
2. Is that a distributor cap?

Is this an engine from the VE Commodore? Regardless, it looks nothing like the GM L* series that's used in the street cars. Is it even an LS block? Who builds the engines for these series, and upon what, if anything, are they based?

Yessum. You can see the distributor drive gear on the camshaft pictured above.

That pic is a Ford, but it looks very similar to the Holden.
Iron block sourced from Ford (USA) or Holden Motorsport (they'd use something from GM USA).
Roughly 4" bore x 3" stroke.
Components would all come from USA and assembled in Aus by half a dozen different engine builders.
It's all 20 year old technology tweaked to get the most out of it and to suit archiac Series rules.
