Holden Caprice remains in the model lineup.

looks nice I was thinking about doing the same thing. we have 2 in our local group that have the Commodore lion so I might do this one just to be different.

Same long wheelbase chassis......long list of creature features.
They never used to be the same but over a long period of years they eventually merged in the WM model enough that the Statesman became redundant.

looks nice I was thinking about doing the same thing. we have 2 in our local group that have the Commodore lion so I might do this one just to be different.

Only thing to watch is the surface where the wreath badge goes on a WM is much flatter than the curved surface where the Holden trunk lion goes on a VE/G8.
You try to stick a flat backed badge on a curved surface and either the adhesive will let go or the chrome on the badge will crack over time.
It's only about $20 shipped, but I'm not going to replace any that fail on a G8.

There's a black "applique" molded to the grille.
Emblem is held onto the applique by 4 clips.
