I wanted to go with the Nurburgrings but just realized they only have them in matte gunmetal and not matte black like I wanted. I see that the Interlagos have matte black but Im not sure how they would look on the car. If anyone has them on their G8, can you please post some pics?

Thanks
Jon

I haven't seen any G8s with the Interlagos, but they are a pretty good looking wheel when the center is dropped on them. I am leaning towards a set of these in 18" for the winter months. I have a set of the Nurburgrings in 19x9.5 that I will install once my car is out of the body shop.

No pictures, sorry. I haven't had the tires mounted on the Nurburgrings yet. I had planned on it soon as I was going to get my fenders rolled on Monday, but I was rear-ended last Tuesday. Now the car is in the shop.

Are you going to do 19x9.5 all around? What size tires are you going to run? I was thinking of doing the Nurburgring or Interlagos in 18x9.5 +40 all around with 275 tires but am worried about the rears rubbing with that offset.

I'm doing Nurburgrings 19x9.5 all around. Offset is +41. I went with the Conti ExtremeContact DW for tires. They run on a narrow side for 275s on their 275/35-19 and 275/30-20. I also plan on lowering with Pedders springs with GSR shocks and struts. You'll definitely need to get your rear fenders rolled if you're lowered and want to run a 9.5 +40 with a 275.

I was also thinking of 18x9.5 Interlagos for the winter months and a 275/40 all around, but I'll have to wait and see how everything pans out until then. I would think with a good fender roll a 9.5 +40 with a 275 on the rear would be okay. Possibly still some rubbing with a full load in the rear or in the trunk on some bumps.

I love my Interlagos and would like to see them on a G8. So far, no one has done it but it's only a matter of time since they are priced well, light, and look great.

Here is what they look like on my DD if anyone would like to photoshop them onto a G8.

Here's the silver ones. I'll see what I can do with the black ones, but I have to tend to a screaming baby first :)

As close to black as I could get without losing all the definition of the wheel

Whoa, man, don't walk all over someone trying to help you. If you want every wheel ever Photoshopped onto your car then you need to learn Photoshop.

huh? who's walking over who? I appreciate what he is doing very much. I understand that he has other things he needs to take care of first... so im not trying to rush him. not sure where you came up with that?

He said he'd be willing to Photoshop a wheel onto your car and you take that as an invitation to continuously ask him to shop multiple wheels in multiple colors on? Asking for a wheel or maybe two to be Photoshopped onto your car is one thing, but there is such a thing as crossing the line.

i posted 2 wheels. he doesnt have to if he didnt want to. im not forcing him to do anything. he was nice enough to want to offer. if he doesnt want to do anymore than he obviously doesnt have to. but let him make that choice. Not sure why you are feeling the need to write what you are. you were nice enough to help me out as well. Thats what we do on here.

Far from perfect, but you get the idea. Also, sorry about all the different rotors and calipers. The only pics I could find came from different cars (one's a subaru, and one's an aston martin). The stock photos of the wheels (not mounted on a car) are too hard to work with because they don't have a rotor/caliper behind the wheel.

Oh, and I think the Matte TSW's (pic jonny5) look fantastic. I might steal your idea and put them on my car :)

Old thread, I know. But just wanted to let you know I just picked up a set of these.

18x8 +35
18x9.5 +40

Probably won't have on car pics for a while, but I'll see what I can do.

I went with 18x8 +35 in the front with size 18x9.5 +40 in the rear. I have 275's on the rear and 245s in the front.

Car looks great, I really like the Nurburgrings. I was thinking you went with the Interlagos, and wanted to see those on a G8. Guess we'll have to wait to see that :).

You get any rubbing with the 275s and the 19x9.5 +40?

Oh I'm sorry. I thought you wanted to see the Nurburgrings. Yes, I got rubbing on the drivers side only when I hit bumps. I ended up having to roll the fender a bit. They are 18x9.5, not 19x9.5

Oh, no worries at all. The car looks great, and wanted to get an idea with how the TSWs sit in general.

Yup, my bad, ment to type 18x9.5. That is what I got on the way in the Interlagos.

Make sure you post some pics. That was obv my other option. I would like to see how they look. Be careful if you dont have your fenders rolled. Like I said, the drivers side fender ate up my tire. Maybe you wont have the same issue for whatever reason.Looks like we have the same lowering springs so.. Let me know

Will do. I'm already rolled, did that a few weeks ago so I can run a 285/40 drag radial on the VMRs.

You think a stock ride height g8 could get by with the 18x8 / 18x9.5 setup on the nurburgrings?

I have a couple concerns... brembo brakes... I think they will, but does anyone know for sure if the 18x8 wheel w/ +35 offset will clear them? Also, out back, I want to run a nt05r or nt 555r. Both are available in a 285/40r18. Any problems with the +40 offset? Lastly, I have BMR trailing arms... any issues there?

Thanks!

Wish I could help with info on the Brembos, but I don't know. 18x8 +35 might be close though. I think the 18x8.5 was pretty questionable/close, so 18x8 with the same offset would be even closer. Something I wouldn't want to risk probably, but if you can get a test fit from someone that'd probably help!

The rear, 18x9.5 +40 will most likely rub with a 285/40/18 DR. My VMR 18x.9.5 +45 just barely scrubbed with my 285/40/18 DRs. SO I rolled the fenders, and rubbing is all gone. With the +40 on the TSWs, you need an additional 5mm of clearance, which I think you can get with rolling/pushing fenders.

Thanks Ryan... the 18x8 fits on the camaros over the brembos... would it also fit over the same brembos on the g8, or are there other factors at play?

Rawyzf

I would think that if they clear on the Camaro, they'd clear on the G8....as they are the same brakes/calipers.
