Kind of funny when I spotted a Cadillac STS V series rolling around the Hollywood area today. I pulled up next to the and holy crap. It's Quentin Tarantino in his black Cadillac V-series STS. We chatted for a few seconds before the light turned green and he was off.
Here's a picture of him posing for the camera right before the light turned green.

Sweet! I like the STS-V, seem to be more rare than the CTS-Vs of either generation.
Always been a little interested in them...
And Quentin is great! Love all his movies.

No I didn't race him. My Ford Crown Vic wouldn't stand a chance. He seem to be a pretty modest guy compared to some celebrities you read and hear on the news.

in a police interceptor? Me thinking that would be baad.

they did only crank <2K unit s a year, but lets roll off the list of checkpoints for an STS-V
1) $77K base pricetag-- that's 7 series money
2) fine stiched leather dash and door cards matched to the low-rent DTS/ 1st gen CTS interior pieces that ruin it
4) although it was the fastest cadillac at the time.. a GXP or lightly moded GT could have it's way with a stock STS-V
I've highlighted the most important. The thing was too damn expensive. it was within $5,000 striking distance of a base E60 M5, and that was the 2005 MSRP, not the 2009 MSRP when BMW was phasing the E60 out of production. In the end you were paying big bucks for a supercharged Northstar platform with a typical GM not paying attention to the details situation car.

That's cool! Do you often run into celebrities while cruising around? :cool2:
I'd have raced him if I was driving a Pinto, just to say that I did..:brock:

I'm sure, as with any supercharged vehicle, it wouldn't be all that hard to mod it for more power.

Thats a pretty cool sighting. Nice picture too, love the cop car reflection!.... Do you ticket yourself for holding the camera while driving/sitting at lights :):)
PS: Will you sign off my LAPD tickets?

I would bet it's harder than you think past the easy bolt-ons, which granted are probally good for another 100whp. The Northstar is a 1 off 4 cam 32V V8 that's never really been shoved into a genuine super sedan. The only reason the 3800 supercharged engines were a sucess is because they were put into everything that had 4 wheels.

You need to put a bumper sticker on your cruiser, "My Other Car is a G8 GT"

Honestly I didn't even noticed the reflection until you guys pointed it out. :facepalm2:
Haven't heard anything about getting the new Caprice PPV since the economy is in the tank right now. Everyone is hurting for money. Just gotta make due with what we have in the meantime and make the best of it. In the meantime, we just received the new Ford-Benz E46 SVT-AMG powered Crown-Vics. :brock:

Awesome pic! Gotta love Tatrantino! I drove one of those STS-V's when GM was doing the test track in Vegas right off the strip. It was a beast! Sounded like a jet engine! Can find them used pretty reasonably!
