Mileage on my 2004 Chevy Colorado

Just wanted to let you see what 385,000 miles look like on the clock.

I rolled this yesterday in Corpus Christi when I wanted to give the Holden a day of rest.:thumbsup:

My Colorado has the straight 5 cyl crew cab Z71 two wheel drive. Same engine, transmission both on Amsiol no leaks and the engine does not use any oil. The rear end was rebuildt around 250,000 just put its 3rd battery in Saturday.

Wow I can't even image it. My 2010 Canyon CrewCab SLE 4x4 has 6,300 miles on it after a year. At 6,300 miles a year it would take me 61 years to make 385,000 miles.

I thought the Z71 had the off road 4x4 package. My GMC has the Z71 package, unless it was an option with the Colorado 2 wheel drive. Just curious because when I was looking for a truck all the Z71's were 4x4's.

Ya mine is the two wheel drive with the Z71 package and is the silver beige with a bed cover on it painted to match perfect.

I wish the truck had more power but what the hell it only has 5 cylinders but it got 24.5 mpg on the trip home yesterday I had a slight tail wind pushing some but it still runs perfect.

The guys at the Chevy store where I bought it at are just amaized how the truck has held up. It's on the 3rd set of tires also, lol

Mine is Pure silver met. Mine has the 3.7 it's pretty fast for a heavy truck. A couple of months ago I put a fiberglass hood on it to match the G8. It has a real twin scoop hood air intakes that matches up to a cold air K&N intake. I also added the Redline hood struts I didn't like the hood prop.

Same color as mine. I have a K&N filter and took the air box cover off and has the chrome step bar like you do. Mine has leather interior. It is a great truck for a mid size and gets good gas mileage verses a full size.

I like the hood you put on, where did you get the hood at? I'll take some pictures when I get home of mine.

Very nice for have that many miles on it. It sits pretty high. Still can't believe it's a 2 wheel drive.

The hood on mine is called a Twin Scoop GoodHood. I've looked at the Cowl Induction and the single scoop in the middle but the twin scoop looked the best.

Thanks I think with m son driving it now it should be around for a while, plus they are a good looking truck.

Ya the battery died last Saturday in the garage so now it has its 3 battery in it. I tried to get GM to do a commercial like Toyota does about their cars going 100,000 miles like that is such a big deal now a days but when I was talking to people it was when GM was hitting hard times and all the people I was talking to jumped ship, can't blame them but I thought it would be a good commercial anyways.

The hood on yours really makes it stand out.

i used to have a 95 silverado with 340 thousand miles on the original 5 liter with manual tranny. it would be over 400 K by now if Obama hadn't given me 4500 for it

I have an '04 Colorado Z71 2wd. I took the Z 71 decal off the quarter panels to stop everyone from wondering why it wasn't a 4wd. Mine has 60K miles on it....not driven a lot. Thinking of putting an LS3 in it.
