Got the car back from RPM yesterday, what an amazing transformation. VERY happy with the results. Many thanks to everyone on the board for some insights, the good folks at MD Speed, BMR, Ktlplxm, Wretched, and Modbargains and most of all Fran and his guys at RPM. The car is incredible.
Still want to do brakes, but I'll wait a while for that. Hopefully I posted the pictures correctly. Not the best, may do some more after a good detailing.

What all did you have done?

Everything in the signature! Complete BMR suspension bushing kit, rear toe rods, trailing arms, sway bars with solid drop links, Xa's, ported intake and throttle body, Rotofab, 1.75" long tube Kooks with Corsa cats and exhaust, rear fender roll, wheels, tires, 4-wheel alignment, and dyno tune engine and trans. Did it all in 1 trip to RPM - a complete makeover. Certainly not as potent as many of the G8's here, but it's an incredible daily driver. The commute to work is going to be much better now.

Looks a lot better since the last time when I saw it a-p-a-r-t at RPM. LOL.

Very nice...

Oh, I owe you an email too on the other topic.

Love the stance, how's the ride quality?

The wheels are Forgestar F14, 19x8.5x35 offset front, 19x10x45 offset back. I was, and remain, nervous about the backs. The fenders are rolled, we'll see how well this works once I have some passengers in the back and stuff in the trunk. I'll take some pics of how they fit later and post them. And I will send you a PM on what i paid for them. I did have to buy lugnuts, factory nuts won't work. I believe they are standard BMW lugnut (?) I have a scrap of paper around here somewhere with the specs - I'll dig it up if you want. Tires are the new and un-tested General G-Max, 245/40/ZR19 front and 275/35/ZR19 rear. They really fill the wells....

Ride quality is good in my opinion, but that's certainly a very subjective call. I can say on the really rough road out of RPM headed towards PA, it wasn't too good, but I think the stock suspension would have been harsh there as well. My last 4-door was a 2003 BMW 540 M-Sport, same suspension as the M5 that year, and I can say the ride is a little stiffer than that. The steering is now 100% improved compared to stock - it is on par with an M5 in my opinion. It rode great coming down I95 and on local roads. no tire noise, but that might have been drowned out by the exhaust!
