Just installed new front and rear door speakers along with new front tweeters and want to add a 4 channel amp for them. How do you get the speaker wires from the head unit back to the amp? I have 2 kicker 8's in the rear deck run to a amp via a line converter. Can I run the the rca cables to the in on one amp then out to the next amp? I assume if you can then I would have to cut the speaker wires from the head unit and run those back to the amp for the door speakers. Hope this makes sense. I am no stereo guru but just want it to sound a little better and need advice on wiring. Plus I like learning how to wire this kind of stuff up.

Your options:
-Tap the rear speaker signals at the connector for the stock subwoofer amplifier. The input to that amplifier is taken from the rear speakers and the output is lowpassed for subwoofer output. If you tap the input, you get the full range signal. Your fade control on the head unit would no longer work correctly because your front speakers would be getting their signals from the rear. This won't affect sound quality or anything - just the loss of fade control. You can still set the fade using the amplifier gain controls. This is the method that I used. I actually built an adapter for the stock amp's wiring harness so that I did not have to cut into the stock wires at all. You can use Scotch Lock connectors if you prefer.
-Tap the front speaker outputs somewhere between the head unit and the door and extend them back. This way your fade would work.
For the amp side, you'll want either an amplifier that has speaker (high) level inputs built in, or you'll want a line-out converter (LOC) like the PAC SOEM-T which is what I use.
