For a 17" rim your choices aren't that great.
Hoosier makes a nice tire for a front runner that should be DD-able. It is only 26" tall, so keep that in mind when choosing a rear tire.
Both Devilish and edmanet use them on Racestars.

Well i will have my 275 40 18 NTO5s on the rear. They are stock 26.xx in diameter. So would the Hoosier tire you are talking about work well with what I have on the rear?

Thank you! So those will fit the GTO spares for sure? The thread width and section width are much different on that tire compared to the M&H drag tires most use. I dont know if that makes a difference or not so I thought I would ask
Thanks

Yea, the more I think about it, you're right.
The Racestar and a new set of studs are what the OP needs.

So are racestars good wheels?? I was looking at getting the CCW fronts (already have the rears...) or some other wheels.... racestars good?... also looking at Weld Racing....
need new studs with the race stars???

There are a lot of guys using Racestars. Camaros and Mustangs alike.
I'm buying Weld RT-S wheels. Alittle more expensive, but stronger and lighter.
Not anywhere close to CCW or Bogart price.

I was going racestar route. But now thinking of weld RT-S as well cause of strength and weight as well. But may just save the extra coin for now and spend it on more mods like drive shaft or what not.
