Gto 6.0l?

I saw a nice blak GTO this afternoon as I was heading home down I-35 south of Hillsboro and he had a 6.0L badge on the back and I thought they only came with the 5.7L?

Just wondering if this guy was trying to fool me and others as he drives around.

The 05-06 MY had the 6.0

04s had the 5.7...

05s and 06s had the 6.0 plus they updated the hood and had dual exhaust cutouts in the rear diffuser...big improvement in the 05 & 06 in my opinion...That's about all I know about them :)

Cool, it looks good as he went by me, it was not a GTO kill, just want to let you all know. I just had the cruise set at 74 and taking it easy.

I don't think the GTO would have been so disliked if it had looked like this to begin with. I remember the reaction on the Performace Years boards when it came out and it was not pretty. I think after the 05 Mustang, people were hoping the GTO would have had a more retro vibe. Not a bad car, but a bit plain for a lot of folks.

Not just retro, but not "soft" like your Grandma's Buick. Personally, I never was interested in the GTO because it just looks emasculated IMHO. The orange body kit is better looking, but I still prefer the harder edges of cars like our G8s. Same reason I prefer 98-02 Trans Ams over Camaros.

technically speaking, no. The 5.7 does have a true dual exhaust, both tips just exit at the same side.
