Anyone else have troubles getting the 275/30/20 mounted on the Camaro rims? I've been to two places now that couldn't mount them and the last idiot at NTB scratched the shit out of the rims. The first place was able to get the front 245/35/20s mounted but neither place could get the rears. I am fighting with NTB now to replace the one rim.
I am about to give up on these Camaro rims and tires this has been painful. I got screwed on tires from a scumbag on Ebay which I had to dispute but Im still out $50 in shipping. Im off to the 3rd place to get the tires mounted and now I have to fight with NTB for messing up my rims.
Any suggestions on where to take these rims and tires to get mounted?
Thanks

Got mine mounted at Discount/Americas Tire who has a flat rate per wheel size not aspect ratio like a lot of other places. One of their female techs stuffed my 285/30's on the rears without a problem.

That size shouldn't be that hard with the right machine and plenty of LUBE!!!!!

Yeah I had a problem getting mine installed at a local shop I've used for over 5 years with great customer service. They were very upfront about what the risks would be when trying to install the tires. I gave them the go ahead, but they came back and advised me that his tech was very uncomfortable going forward with it without scratching them up. So I ended up taking them up to my local Firestone shop. They said they could do it without any issues. I was concerned I was going to come back later to find my rims f'ed up, but they got them mounted with no issues at all.

Bells tire did a number on my first set. Canton,MI location. Avoid them.
Discount tire did a great job on set #2. My friend personally mounted two and another guy i've seen there for years did the other two.
Good service is hard to find.

Any shop that has a problem does not have the proper tools, equipment, and training. It should be no problem at all to mount a tire. Like these little drag slicks.

Mounted them with the help of the Fiance's brother. Once we figured out the cadence to getting them on it went like clockwork and was rather easy. This was on an old crappy machine at a Lexus dealer too BTW.
The shops in your area are crap. Try bringing it to a dealer that services Corvettes. They deal with wide, low profile tires all the time I would gather, and could get it done. Of course cost may be a little higher...
