They have 90/10s now

Stupid question... 90/10's have different valving for compression and rebound? I figure you want the front to rebound (go into the air, transfer weight to the rears) at launch... then compress slowly to not disturb the weight transfer... is this correct? So it would have a "firm" compression and a "soft" rebound? Or do I have it backwards

No they do not but send Andy (realsquash) a PM he knows all about the differences and what need changed if it is possable.

Thanks Greg. I asked Andy to look at the thread but my research says its not adaptable. Damn shame all the manufacturers have abandoned us now that the cash cow is out. We'll never get another fuckin thing made for us.

Here's what I know about mounting those shocks, and what I don't. In the front: The clevis won't fit the G8 knuckle. You can't redrill or anything like that, either. You have to run the Camaro knuckle, bearing, brakes, and all 4 control arms. The G8 upper strut bushing should fit the Camaro shock, but I haven't done it myself. It looks the same though. Is the shock length the same? I have to think they are close but I haven't measured.
I think your best bet would be to source some tunable shocks and make a lower strut clevis to mount it to the G8 parts.
I know less about the rear, but I think they will bolt on. I have an almost 90% Camaro rear suspension now, but I never looked into the shocks. Again I think you could reuse the G8 upper shock bushing.

I work for a high-performance shock absorber manufacturer. We have looked closely into the differences between the G8 and Camaro dampers.
The front struts are completely different. The only similarities between the Zeta (G8) and Zeta II (Camaro) front suspensions is that they are both McPherson strut designs. The struts are different lengths and use different brackets and spring seats. Also, the coil springs, top mount assembly, and steering bearing are all different. They are not physically interchangeable.
The rear shocks are essentially the same and will interchange.

Don't suppose your company is interested in making some 90/10s for G8s? Without good fronts, the rears are useless.

I seriously doubt it. Drag shocks are not a market we currently participate in.
