First, Wed I go to start my 06 explorer for my girl to take to work and the keypad buttons wont work.
Next day, I hit the buttons on my truck keypad (05' chevy) to unluck and nothing.

So i'm thinking dead batteries on both what a coincedence. Then friday I try to unlock the G8 and the keypad wont work. So I grab the spare pad thats only been used once or twice and nothing.

I'm worried there may be some foul play involved because 3 cars pads dying in 3 days seems very unlikely.

Also, The cars were parked in the same spot on driveway when each failed.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt

Do you live around a military base of any kind? or any type of electronics store? There is all kinds stuff that can block signals.

I ask cause i know we in fort hood have equipment that will stop them from working, phones, internet and stuff. We dont use all time except in Iraq/Afgan. These are also made all over the country by different companies. At ft hood we use mainly for training and if they to close to you it will stop every thing.

I live about 15 miles from selfridge air base. You guys may be right because they are working now. Called the dealer about the g8 and I guess they have had alot of problems with the keypads. By the way she was sounding she want to reprogram the car and give me 2 new pads under warranty. I may just do that.

Thanks guys

Navy here had stuff that used to stop peoples remotely operated garage doors from opening in the surrounding suburbs.
They used to put announcements in the newspaper and over the radio telling people not to call the repairman cos it's just them messing with your shit.
