yeah, looks like I'll have to wait awhile longer to get one at a price i can live with... The 13/20 is also a bummer. I think I would get better mpg in my current car with a hole in the fuel line.....

You could always get a tune and get some MPG back.

That is if they are sill in business, please let them be.

Same here, also why pay 40K for a GXP when you can get a used GT for half the price. Best bet is to wait until later next year and get a used GXP for under 30K.

No, I saw what the gauges are going to look like too. I'm going to be really envious.

Are they different then the gauges in the photo shoots of the test drives? I'm assuming you are referring to the tach and speedometer.

I'm referring to the Atari gauges the '08 GT's have.

If I'm not mistaken, the GXP isn't getting any more gages than the 09 GT.

Then why pay that much for the drivetrain?
I hope for your sake, you are wrong.

The way I see it is that I'm paying for the manual transmission, LS3 and a kick ass 4 door sedan. The rest is gravy.

So $41590 loaded including sunroof before dealer markup. I wonder how much a dealer will add to the list price if they are only getting a few?

Wait 6 months. Guaranteed they won't move enough of these. The economy is pretty bad and consumer confidence is down but it's still not the bottom. No one (except the people here) will spend 40 grand on this. If you can't wait well.....hope you've been saving.

Actually it's probably not even going to take 6 months. GMinside news just released the latest inventory levels. The G8 has 11,300 unsold vehicles and is estimated that it will take 250 days to sell them off according to november numbers.
Someone please check my math, but according to my calculations this equates to less then 0.70 G8's sold per day in November across all of the dealers. Not pretty.

I bet dealers won't sit on the GXP's very long. Let's say some dealers get two to four. in Jan-Feb. I bet one or two sell pretty quick. Someone always has money laying around and is looking for the next best thing. Look at the ZR1's.
The dealer has one-two left. I can see some dealers, dealer-transferring their GXP's before selling them for deep discount. They'll lose their hold back, but might gain something that will sell. Especially if dealers have 20 GT's on their lot like one dealership has near me.

I tend to agree with nosbusa on the GXP's.
