View Full Version : Just purchased the SLP Powerflo Axleback system

I bought this system hoping to get a very deep and quiet sound to go along with my American Racing Headers. I was looking for something a little louder then stock, minimal drone, and very deep sound. Does this system sound like the right system for me? I guess I will find out either way ha. I will post videos of idle and cruising once I get them on and start driving the car again. No one has done a cruising drive by video of Powerflo and American Racing Headers, so I will help out my fellow GRRRR8ers

I can attest to the minimal drone, but that does mean there is some. Since I like it more on the quiet side, I sold mine last summer and put the stockers back on. I just bought the Magnaflow middle muffler and have a feeling the SLP's would work great now with no drone. But I'm probably going to go for the Dynomax Super Turbos because they're even deeper and even quieter (but not as quiet as stock).

Well I have had the pypes axleback and solo axleback. I love the deep and aggressive sound of the solo. It is just a little to loud at WOT. Pypes is a little quieter with a higher pitch sound, yet still having a nice sound. It too is loud at WOT and does have a little too much drone for me. I am hoping that the SLP is exactly what I am looking for. A nice deep sound that isn't to loud. I dont mind a little drone. We will see. I guess I could add the magnaflow mid muffler to any system I get to eliminate the drone

I know where you can get a good deal on the 12468 Magnaflow. You will want it for the drone.

Well a little drone will be ok as long as it is not as much as the Pypes system I had. If its too much, I will let you know

I have a feeling you're going to like it as-is. As I said, drone is minimal and definitely not as bad as Magnaflow or Pypes.
