Throtle Body Cleaner

I am wondering what is the best throtle body cleaner to use?

I like to use 44K in the fuel to keep that part running good but just wondering what you all suggest on the throtle body.

Also, has anyone used the new Sta-Bil product for ethanol to take water out of the fuel?

At my shop we use all BG Products. We do a Fuel Induction System, which is very good for cleaning everything inside the intake, valves etc. Find a shop near you that will do it. Very very very good stuff.

Big O also uses BG products. Seems to do just fine.

I have used BG Products for many years in all my vehicles. My 2004 Colorado never had the fuel system cleaned out I just used the 44K and did the job it has now 383,000 miles on it.

I know my Chevy store that works on my G8 has the BG machines plus the oil change shop I use does also.

If you can not find a specific T/B cleaner, Old school carburetor cleaner is just fine as well,with a toothbtush,works great. Just don't give the toothbrush back to whoever owned it !

Carb cleaner will remove the protective coating on some T/B's.

Just don't use anything with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). Now we have to Read the ingredients like the Big chicks at the Supermarket !!
