$300 for the VMS ECM. This will allow you to have a VMS tuned ECM while keeping your stock ECM for dealer visits. It is very easy to install, probably 5 minutes at the most.

Here is a video running a 13.1 with this tune. I didn't get a video with the 12.8, but was running consistent 12.8's with this and headers.

This will have to be sent to Kirk at VMS to be updated with the buyers VIN and state of tune. That is 100 bucks.

I know... I am doing this right now. That being said... This is an AWESOME price.

Does anybody know what would happen if you had the wrong VIN programmed into you ECM?

That is a good deal! If I didn't already have the spare ECM setup I'd buy it! :p

You would have to send the unit to VMS for them to put your VIN in it or order their FlashExpress and update the TCM and the new ECM. It is very easy to put the ECM in. Probably about 5 minutes the first time you do it. 2 minutes once you have done it once or twice.

I have not been able to get an answer as to if you can just install this ECM in your car with the wrong VIN. I may have to test this to see what happens. If this is the case, just install this ECM, and whenever you goto the dealer, swap the ECM's out.

You can't install it if it has the wrong vin. It will lock the ECM. Don't do it.

I question that because of one reason. When I ordered my ECM tune, I only ordered the FlashExpress. When it was shipped to me, I received an extra ECM and the FlashExpress. I called Kirk and he said put the ECM and read the VIN to make sure it was correctly tuned for my car. He did say that if it was the wrong VIN to send it back but he did say to go ahead and put it in my car?????

It's going to take me time to search for the post that locked someone's ECM. If I'm wrong I'll remove my post.
But if Kirk says it's ok, it's ok.

Don't remove your post. People say wrong things all of the time and you may not be wrong. One thing though, the ECM's are already locked. VMS does this. They could leave them unlocked but they choose not to. If I wasn't heading out for the holidays I would try this now. I could program in a different VIN and see what happens. If we don't have an answer by the time I get back in 2 weeks I will try it.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks,
