I was thinking of adding an aftermarket Transmission cooler to my car. What are my options? What do others have on their cars?
I could probably find it with a search, but I am feeling lazy tonight.
Thanks in advance.

PCM forless is what I have but if you don't have a stall or live in Texas not much need for one

I will have a stall in the future.

I plan on going with the one from PCM forless. It seems like any easy set-up. My stall should be here Tuesday.

I will be going with a B&M SuperCooler...Seems like a good product and not very expensive.

i have also seen on Circle D's website a couple of coolers that they offer.

I installed a big Earls cooler, what do you want to know? I made up lines that connect to the factory hard lines where they come out near the crank pulley, I thought that was pretty crafty.

Wow! Now that is a tranny cooler!
That thing must keep your tranny temps nice and cool.

Thanks. That is one industrial sized cooler.

Well the photo shows two... One for engine oil and one for trans fluid. The tranny one made a huge huge difference, there is no way I'd run without one. I think it was worth 50 degrees under most conditions. I have to be road racing it to see temps over 170F in the trans now. If it does get hot it cools off like now once I'm done beating on it.

I ended up going with a OE GXP Trans cooler. Thanks to Greg at Pace Performance.

Andy- nice work! Seems pretty crafty to me;) BTW, did you use a sandwich adapter for the oil cooler or did you "crafty up" something else? Thanks and nice work again!

Has anyone installed this kit, is it necessary to remove the nose of the car?

How and where did you mount these coolers?

Where did you mount these at? I was thinking the upper kidney grills since I will have something taking up the lower grill.

I put them up top, yes. They are mounted like they are sitting on the workbench. I fabricated some simple brackets to bolt them to the core support and put some rubber strips between them and the radiator for a bit of extra efficiency.

I used a Katech adapter that bolts onto the block above the oil filter. It's where the factory cooler would connect if it were equipped like that from GM, like on a truck. I didn't fabricate it :(

What BTU's are the coolers? Do you have part numbers?

Andy@SquashPerformance

Earl's 42510ERL for both coolers. They have -10 threaded o-ring ports and are rated at 57,000 BTU each. Very good stuff...
