I added a extension to the RotoFab inlet to draw outside air. The 6" inlet is just in front of the air dam so hopefully some air will get forced towards the filter as well. Given the size of the duct/tubing I dont think it will choke the intake tract. It was a very cheap and easy mod. The sheet metal only cost $6 A 6" HVAC hose is just large enough to slide over the end of RotoFab inlet. The gap between the top of the metal and the RotoFab is only several inches. A 12" or less section would span the gap (there's probably 3' scrunched up in the pictures. What do you think?

It might take a little fabbing to fit that shape in the lower panel, but could be doable!

The lip on the one side was bent up so that the opening would be close to the air dam.

Thats what I was thinking. Nice work and it will make more power then just a Roto by itself

Good idea. Roto-fab could produce an extension, since they have the tooling, of a ram air type extension similar to what you have created, that would be bolt on with factory fit and finish. Roto-fab are you listening?

If you will recall, Roto-Fab advertised a "True ram air system"... In reality, ram air only offers about 3-4 hp at about 100 HP. So, the system has not been offered for sale as it has not proven effective.

I also fabbed an extension for the Roto-fab. 12 inch long sheet metal triangle connects the LPM to the rotofab, with about 4 inches of overlap. I noticed no change in performance. Not sure of the benefit of this type of mod. I was considering an improvement in the air dam to increase static pressure.

I think it looks good!

I also think home depot needs an automotive section for the DIY guys!

I know they have a lot of fun stuff there! (or Lowes for that matter)

Good job!

What we need to do is get you into a dashhawk or aeroforce interceptor (or hptuners) and see how much it helps (or doesn't).
