Storage of Parts

Ok so no BS.... im currently deployed, so some parts that i have ordered will be sitting in a storage facility ie (exhaust, cylinder head...etc...) is that good for the parts if they will be sitting for over a period of 5 months? Do they need to be in climate controlled area or something? Thanks!

Wrap the parts in plastic so they stay dry and coat any untreated metal surfaces with oil or WD40.

If the parts are new, they should be fine in their shipping boxes...
