Of interest!

"UK-based Cella Energy has developed a synthetic fuel that could lead to US$1.50 per gallon gasoline. Apart from promising a future transportation fuel with a stable price regardless of oil prices, the fuel is hydrogen based and produces no carbon emissions when burned. The technology is based on complex hydrides, and has been developed over a four year top secret program at the prestigious Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford. Early indications are that the fuel can be used in existing internal combustion engined vehicles without engine modification."

There's always a catch. This is just another teaser, or like all the other good stuff it will be bought up by Big Oil and this will disappear like the dodo....

Funny, I just got that link in my E-mail from a friend. Don't have much belief in this though.

another link. http://news.discovery.com/tech/synthetic-gasoline-for-150gallon-and-no-emissions.html

I hope it's true so we can dump OPEC. Maybe mixed with gas from local sources.

It'll be a $1.50 a gallon, but we'll probably only get 7 miles to the gallon.

Even If it was real, it will be held up or stopped by some means beacuse it would lessen the attention given to the Green movement. They need combustion engines to be evil, dirty, and expensive, otherwise people will just go back to using them.
I love combustion engines. I'm all for efficiency, but give me that fuel burner!!!!

That Prince of that country just sent me my check ofr 1 trillion stones. Does that mean I can retire??

We need to burn more gas to keep up warm since global freezing has taken over.
