So I went to install the cabin air filter, bad move. The windshield drainage tray is held flush to the windsheidl by push rivets, *NOT* the 6 you usually remove to 'pry' access to the filter, these are deeper near the edge of the tray. The only way to remove the right hand side (passenger) tray is to slide it twoard the driver side, but of course.. you can't do that without first removing the driver side tray. Anyone know how to remove the driver side tray? My passenger side tray will not sit flush (and therefor allow water into the cabin filter) until this is corrected. It hasen't sit flush since I purchased the car, however The install poped another 1-2 out of their sockets.

I've had a better look at this, and it appears the driver side tray is the entire drainage and the passenger sort of piggy-backs on top of it.
IE it's not designed to be removed from the driver tray :facepalm2:

I will have to try to carefully man-handle the rivets back into their perches.

yeah, those black rivets are not the ones I'm talking about, There are more of them deeper twoard the windshield that have come off their track and I see no practical way of getting them back on. there's still one off it's track that I'm going to try to tackle today. Moral is don't try to lift up more than you have to.
