I'm about to buy an exhaust and I'm curious about what dyno numbers. I have a roto-fab cai and getting kooks 1 3/4" long tube headers, kooks 3" catted x-pipe and aftermarket axleback of some kind that I'm undecided on right now on. I plan on getting a good tune an maybe even a great street and dyno tune. What kind of numbers would I be looking at with your experience with this setup?

Every dyno and every car is different, so the results someone else gets won't be the same as the results you get. Besides dyno numbers don't mean squat when you are trying to reach a certain goal for quarter miles times.

Yeah I know with dyno and track numbesr will always very from car to car and driver to driver. But I'm just wondering what kind of dyno numbers would I looking at. I know its going to very from car to car but I'm just looking for a ball park figure.

I'm guessing anywhere from 360-380whp and 360-380wtq

Well if you don't you'll have to buy more mods, it's as simple as that....

Any reason not going with 1-7/8 headers?

Drcutomparts you made your own custom borla axleback? What size piping did you use? I don't understand why there isn't a 3" axleback? If your going with 3" x-pipe why not go with a 3" axleback too, but there isn't one really. I think magnaflow makes a a entire catback 3" but that's it. Is there any issues with the 3"? I'm really undecided with what to go with. I figure going with the kooks axleback since everything else is kooks. But I've always have had borla exhaust on all my other cars and its has always been my favorite.

Umm....I've read up that if your not planning going over 500whp then it hurts you more than you gain. So I figured that I would go with the 1 3/4" long tubes instead of the 1 7/8" since I don't plan on getting that much out of my motor. Could you give incite on why you ask?

Go pypes violators with 1-7/8 headers, and 3" catted x pipe.
You will not see no power lose. Plus if decide you want more later you will be set with these headers. On that if you don't want loud stay with stock mufflers.

That's my car. It was 30 degrees out and I gave some big revs. Kooks 1-7/8 headers, 3" catted with pypes mufflers.

My Borla axlebacks were made using the stock 2 1/2" pipes & flanges. As I said in your other thread, 3" isn't necessary for the axlebacks since the exhaust gases have cooled and contracted that far back in the system, so they won't decrease flow. I also told you to call Maryland Speed and you'll get a lower price than what's listed on their website.

Why the 1 7/8 over the 1 3/4" kooks long tubes headers? Would I get more power with them. I don't plan on going over 500whp.

Don't question the man's suggestion, just get the 1 7/8" headers since you never know if you'll want more power in the future. Some is good, more is better, and too much is just right.

Cool thanks for the information. I've already have gotten a good price for Brandon at Maryland Speed and just about ready to pull the trigger. Its hard to to due because I've been out of work for a while now but I want these bad so I think I'm going to charge them and pay it later. Could you give me some more details on the custom borla that you made? I'm thinking about making one too because whatever axleback I get I'm just going to had some j-pipes because I want absolutely zero drone.

All dyno's very. But last pull I had with full exhaust, cold air, tune, udp was around 390whp/379wtq before the spray.

They were made using Borla turbo mufflers with 2 1/2" inlet and 2 1/2" outlet with the stock pipes/flanges and stock tips welded to them. Here's some pictures of them if it helps.

Also the header size has been debated several times. And most people will tell you to get the 1-7/8 as well.

I'm just curious. If they make the same or more power with my set up then I will get them. I just don't want to maximize my set up

Good work!!! Do you have any part numbers for the mufflers, flanges, and hangers? Where did you get them or could you point me in the right direction where to get the parts that you used? I think I'm going to make a custom axleback exhaust.

I bought the mufflers as you see them in the picture from another member, so I don't know anything more than what I told you. This member hasn't posted here for a long time so there's no way for me to ask him.
I do know there's no part numbers for the stock pipes & flanges since he cut them off his stock mufflers. The hangers were fabricated by the muffler shop that did the work for him so there's no part number for those either.

I went with the kooks 1 7/8 mid tubes and cats, they work great with my magnacharger. You should always question someone if your spending a grand or so building your exhaust system. Its your money, so question all you want. You can also call kooks and see what they would advise you to do, give em the mods you plan and take their advice, thats their business and they will be glad to help you.
